According to Ukrinform, the Office of the Prosecutor General stated this on Facebook.

"A 66-year-old Ukrainian citizen and diplomat of the Sovereign Order of Malta died in hospital from injuries sustained in the attack. As a result, the total number of victims of the enemy strike has increased to 11," the statement said.

The Office of the Prosecutor General also reported that a court is currently considering a preventive measure for the exhibition's organizer, who has been named as a suspect.

Prosecutors are seeking the suspect's detention without the possibility of bail, citing all existing risks.

As Ukrinform previously reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the weapons exhibition in the Kyiv region, which was struck by Russia on July 24, should never have taken place. He stressed that, given an enemy such as Russia, it is unacceptable to hold weapons exhibitions attended by large crowds and located near residential buildings.

The Russian missile strike on the Kyiv region initially left 10 people dead and about 100 others injured, with victims suffering injuries of varying severity.

In addition to the criminal case opened over the Russian attack itself, investigators have launched separate criminal proceedings under Part 3, Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine concerning the possible negligent performance of official duties during the organization and conduct of the event, which allegedly contributed to the loss of life and other serious consequences.

The chief organizer of the weapons exhibition has been detained and formally notified of suspicion.
