Martin del Rosario appeals for blood donors for dad Robert’s heart surgery

Kapuso actor Martin del Rosario asked the public for help as his family needs 16 blood donors for his father, Robert del Rosario, who is set to undergo triple bypass surgery, a procedure where a bypass route for blood is created to go around blocked artery sections, as per Cleveland Clinic.

Martin appealed for urgent help through his Instagram Stories on Monday, July 27. The actor did not immediately expound on his dad’s condition.

“We are urgently looking for 16 blood donors for my dad who will be undergoing triple bypass surgery,” he wrote, adding that willing donors may proceed to the Philippine Heart Center.

He noted that donors must be between 16 and 65 years old, at least 50 kg, and are in good health to donate blood.

“Your generosity can make a life-saving difference. Thank you so much for your kindness and support,” he said. “Every donation counts.”

Robert is a former actor who starred in a few films during the 1980s. He is the older brother of broadcast journalist Connie Sison. /ra
