BERLIN, July 28. /TASS/. German automaker Mercedes-Benz reported a profit of 1.09 bln euros for April-June, up 13.5% from the same period a year earlier, marking its first year-on-year increase in quarterly profit in three years, DPA reported.

The company posted a profit of just under 960 mln euros in the Q2 of 2025. However, the company's revenue in April-June of this year fell 3.3% to 32 bln euros. The strongest results came from its vans division, where sales rose 46%, and its financial services unit, where operating profit increased 70%.

Passenger car sales during the reporting period fell nearly 8% to 417,000 vehicles. The company attributed the decline to difficult conditions in the Chinese market, where Q2 sales dropped 30%. Excluding China, however, passenger car sales worldwide rose 2% from a year earlier.

Mercedes-Benz also revised its financial outlook for 2026. While the automaker had expected in the spring to keep revenue and sales roughly at their 2025 levels, management now forecasts that both indicators will be below last year's levels.
