Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak have been crowned the 2026 Love Island winners.

The couple beat fellow islanders, Kavan Murphy, 21, and Jasmine Muller, 27, who placed second on the ITV reality dating show, with Simba Kudyiwa, 24, and Angelista Gunda, 24, coming third.

Along with winning the title, the pair won a £50,000 (€58,000) prize which they will share equally.

Alessi appeared shocked at the news – and delighted, as he could not stop laughing, saying: “What the hell?”

Majchrzak told presenter Maya Jama: “I would just love to say thank you to everyone.

“I didn’t think that coming into Casa, I would be stood here. It’s crazy.”

When asked what they will spend the money on, she added: “I want him to move in with me.”

Earlier on in the final, Yasmin Hadlow and Tommy Stagg became the last couple to be dumped from Love Island by fellow contestants, Mica Harris and Samraj Toor.

The final also saw Priya Talya Jaswal apologise to Elicia Bailey after she made headlines for “job-shaming” her fellow contestant.

In previous episodes, Jaswal was shown a clip of Bailey talking about her relationship with Aiden Murphy on the Love Island aftershow, Aftersun, where she said Jaswal was a “game player”.

The clip was shown to Jaswal who responded: “It’s really sad seeing someone so bitter.”

She later said: “I don’t care what Elicia says, I don’t care it’s cringey, go back to the National Rail Elicia! You work on the National Rail why are you f** sitting on Aftersun?

“Just go back there and save your breath.”

The clip circulated online with some social media users criticising the islander for commenting about her profession.

Jaswal addressed the comment during the final and told Bailey: “I do want to apologise about the National Rail comment. It was obviously not meant to be a job-shaming comment.

“I was telling you to go back to your day job and kind of keep my name out of your mouth. That was where I was coming from.

“It’s nothing to do with where you work.”

Bailey said: “I feel like a few years back I’d have probably reacted the same way, sort of shouting and going about that. So I sort of understand the reaction.

“I’m proud of my job and I work my ass off. There’s no hard feelings and she’s an amazing person.”
