Bloomberg reported this in an article, according to Ukrinform.

A procedural vote on the sanctions bill is scheduled to take place late Tuesday evening.

President Trump has expressed support for the legislation, which had been championed by the late Senator Lindsey Graham.

According to the text of the bill released earlier this week, the legislation broadens sanctions against Iran and separately targets Russia's oil and gas exports. It would grant the president the authority to impose tariffs on the five largest buyers of Russian crude oil and natural gas, as well as on five countries that help Russia circumvent energy-related sanctions.

The report notes that although Graham and other strong supporters of Ukraine have long advocated for the measure, it could further complicate already fragile U.S. trade relations with China and India, the two largest importers of Russian energy.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was scheduled to meet on Tuesday evening at the U.S. Capitol with a bipartisan group of senators, including co-sponsors of Senator Lindsey Graham's bill on sanctions against Russia and Iran.
