PBA: Rey Nambatac’s 3 at the buzzer lifts TNT past Converge

MANILA, Philippines–Rey Nambatac scored a three at the buzzer to give TNT a come-from-behind 110-107 win over Converge in the 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup on Tuesday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Nambatac, who finished with 30 points, delivered off Alec Stockton as the Tropang 5G pulled one off over the FiberXers despite starting the game trailing 16-0.

His three came after new import Jamaal Franklin knocked down four free throws with 9.1 seconds left from a foul he drew while going for a four-point shot.

TNT improved to 2-2 for fourth in Group A, but is holding out hope that RR Pogoy and Jordan Heading will turn out fine after sustaining injuries during the second half.

Heading hurt his shoulder while Pogoy saw his knee buckle in separate incidents in the third quarter. They did not play the rest of the contest.

Heading had 20 points while Henry Galinato also played a huge role for TNT with 12 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

The Tropang 5G ended a two-game slide when they fell to the Titan Ultra Giant Risers and the Terrafirma Dyip, a 111-106 overtime defeat after rallying from 18 down and squandering a six-point lead in the extension.

Converge dropped to 3-2 for third in Group A that spoiled the debut of Franklin, who finished with 30 points spiked by five threes and one four.
