Jakub Dłubacz, Spokesperson for the Wrocław District Prosecutor's Office, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.

"Both detainees have already been questioned and formally charged with assault and committing violence motivated by national hatred. Neither admitted guilt. One provided detailed testimony, while the other refused to make a statement," Dłubacz said.

He noted that prosecutors have filed a motion requesting that both suspects be held in pretrial detention for three months.

According to Dłubacz, the court is required to consider the request within 24 hours. The case will be heard by the Wrocław-Fabryczna District Court.

He added that the third suspect has not yet been detained.

"The police are taking measures to establish the suspect's whereabouts and apprehend him," the Spokesperson for the Wrocław District Prosecutor's Office said.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, two men were arrested in Wrocław on suspicion of brutally assaulting a Ukrainian couple. One of the suspects attempted to leave the city but was apprehended by officers from the police counterterrorism unit.

According to Polish media, the suspects are 27 and 45 years old. One has a prior criminal record, while the other is associated with football hooligan circles. Both compete in mixed martial arts tournaments.
