Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Michael B. Jordan and several other stars walked the red carpet of the U.S. premiere of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” Monday night in Los Angeles.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Holland’s fourth solo film as the famed Marvel Comics webslinger and the first big-screen tale for the character since the worldwide blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.

In the new film, Peter Parker/Spider-Man is still adjusting to going it alone following the conclusion of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where he made the sacrifice of having Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) wipe the world’s memories clean of who Peter is as the only recourse to saving the multiverse. As such, Peter struggles with seeing his love, MJ (Zendaya), and best friend, Ned (Jacob Batalon), go on with their lives without him.

Complicating matters is the emergence of a new villain threatening the populace of New York City, whom Peter/Spidey is struggling to defeat as his own mind and body begin to radically evolve into something he can’t handle.

Directed by Destin Daniel Crettin, Spider-Man: Brand New Day also stars Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Liza Colón-Zayas, Michael Mando, Marvin Jones III, Eman Esfandi, Mark Ruffalo and the voice of Keith David.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day plays in preview screenings on Thursday and opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, and early projections point toward the biggest opening weekend for any film in 2026. The film is also benefiting from positive reviews from Rotten Tomatoes critics after the embargo for critics lifted on Tuesday morning.
