Heorhii Reshetilov, acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"During the air attack, the defense forces destroyed most of the enemy's aerial targets. At the same time, several direct hits and falling debris were recorded. In Mykolaiv, the attack damaged an industrial facility, a port infrastructure site and residential buildings. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties," Reshetilov wrote.

According to him, a private house was also damaged in the Halytsynivka community by debris from a downed UAV. An 86-year-old man was injured and hospitalized. He is in serious condition, and doctors are providing him with all necessary medical assistance.

According to a Facebook post by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, four civilians were injured in Russia's attack on July 28, and an investigation has been launched.

"Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated over yet another Russian attack on the city of Mykolaiv and Mykolaiv district. On July 28, 2026, Russian servicemen carried out an attack using various types of weapons. It has been preliminarily established that the enemy used two guided aerial bombs, five cruise missiles and two jet-powered UAVs," the statement said.

Four civilians were injured as a result of the Russian attack. In particular, three Mykolaiv residents – two men and a woman – were injured. An 86-year-old man was injured in the Mykolaiv district. He was hospitalized with burns.

The shelling damaged residential buildings, civilian and industrial infrastructure, and vehicles. Fires broke out at several sites.

Prosecutors, together with law enforcement officers, are documenting the consequences of the attack and taking measures to establish all the circumstances of yet another war crime committed by Russian servicemen.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted into violations of the laws and customs of war under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
