Aussie lifter Isabella Andueza is out of the women’s 77kg final after missing out on her three attempts at 89kg in the snatch section of the competition.

The Victorian was heartbroken when she couldn’t complete a lift in the snatch section.

Andueza had to stop her first attempt partway up as she stumbled and had to let the bar drop out of her hands and she wasn’t able to keep the bar up on her second or third attempts.

The commentators explained that under the streamlined competition, not completing a lift in the snatch section meant a lifter couldn’t progress to the clean and jerk section which comes up next.
