TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao
Party national president N. Chandrababu Naidu issued explicit orders that leaders should not share stage with YSR Congress Party leaders, except under certain exceptional circumstances, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said while addressing the media at the TDP central office, near Mangalagiri, on Wednesday.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the party would not tolerate indiscipline, and it was closely monitoring every development. The party was calling for explanations whenever required, and it was not hesitant to take disciplinary action against those crossing the line. Even if mistakes were committed unintentionally, such instances should not repeat.
He said every leader should remember that the party was above all and no one should behave in such a manner that brings disrepute to it, or members of the ruling coalition (BJP and Jana Sena Party). Each one in the party must work with achieving victory in the 2029 elections as the single-minded goal and take development and welfare schemes to the people.
Referring to MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao sharing the stage with a YSRCP leader (a former Minister), Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the party leadership expressed displeasure at what happened, but upon an assurance that he would hereafter strictly adhere to the rules of conduct, the matter had been closed.
