According to Ukrinform, the information was provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its operational update as of 22:00 on July 29, 2026, published on Facebook.

"Since the beginning of the day, there have been 191 combat engagements. The enemy launched one missile strike using two missiles, carried out 60 air strikes, and dropped 196 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces deployed 5,566 kamikaze drones and conducted 1,973 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops," the General Staff said.

No enemy offensive operations were recorded in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions. However, Russian forces carried out one airstrike using two guided bombs and shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 48 times, including four attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, Russian troops launched 11 assaults near Lyman, Volokhivka, Starytsia, Izbytske, and Khatnie. Two engagements were still ongoing at the time of the report.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched five assaults toward Kivsharivka, Shyikivka, and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. Two clashes were still underway.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 13 Russian attempts to advance near Drobysheve, Dibrova, Novyi Myr, Novoselivka, Lyman, and Ozerne. One engagement continued.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped 16 Russian assaults near Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Pyskunivka, Mykolaivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka.

One Russian assault was recorded in the Kramatorsk direction near Tykhonivka.

The Kostiantynivka direction remained one of the most active. Ukrainian forces repelled 20 assaults near Rusyn Yar, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Ivanopillia, and Novoselivka, while four additional engagements were ongoing.

Russian forces launched 20 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, attempting to advance near Novopavlivka, Sofiivka, Vilne, Nove Shakhove, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Matiasheve, Myrne, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Molodetske. One battle was still in progress.

According to preliminary estimates, Ukrainian troops eliminated 34 Russian soldiers and wounded 18 more in the Pokrovsk sector. They also destroyed one piece of specialized equipment and one enemy drone command post, while damaging one tank, seven artillery systems, and five military vehicles. In addition, 240 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack near Sichneve.

In the Huliaipole direction, Russian forces launched 11 attacks near Krynychne, Vozdvyzhivka, Kosivtseve, Dobropillia, Hirke, and Olenokostiantynivka. Five engagements remained ongoing.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian forces repelled one Russian assault near Charivne.

No Russian assault operations were recorded in the Prydniprovske direction.

No significant changes were reported in the operational situation on the remaining front-line sectors.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) drones struck a Lukoil oil refinery in Perm, approximately 1,500 kilometers from Ukraine's border.
