Anjo Yllana says P3.5-M damages to TVJ under appeal, hopes anger will subside
Anjo Yllana said he filed an appeal regarding his payment of P3.5 million in damages to TVJ Productions, as he expressed that his wish is not to avoid liability but for any anger toward him to eventually fade.
Yllana made the remarks during an interview with select reporters at the Maddox Iconic Runway: Diamond Jewelry Fashion Show 2026 on Thursday, July 30, in Mandaluyong City.
It can be recalled that the Mandaluyong City Regional Trial Court Branch 279 ordered Yllana to pay a total of P3.5 million in damages, consisting of P1 million each in temperate, moral and exemplary damages, plus P500,000 for attorney’s fees and litigation expenses.

The petition was filed by TVJ Productions after Yllana made several allegations against “Eat Bulaga!” and its hosts, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon. He claimed that there was a “syndicate” in the show and that Senator Tito had a mistress.
.Asked if he had appealed the ruling, Yllana confirmed that the case is now before the courts.
“It is under appeal and syempre it will take time. Right now nag-appeal ako sa court. Siguro baka 2-3 appeal pa ‘yan ‘pag di makuha sa isa,” he said.
Despite the ruling, Yllana reiterated that he accepts responsibility for his actions and has already apologized publicly.
“Unang-una I made a public apology. I said sorry. I am very vocal na mahal ko sila. I admitted I made a mistake na may mali akong nagawa. Sabi ko nga pinagsisihan ko na ‘yun, and the most important thing is natuto ka dun sa mga pagkakamali mo,” he said.

The former “Eat Bulaga” host added that what matters most to him is repairing the emotional fallout from the controversy.
“Ang pinaka-wish ko lang naman ngayon hindi naman ‘yung kung guilty ba ako o hindi or kung may babayaran akong malaki o hindi. Mas wish ko ‘yung sana humupa na kung meron man sa panig ko, and ang galit nila,” he said.

Yllana said losing the friendship he once shared with the veteran hosts has been more painful than the legal case itself.
“Yung friendship kasi namin medyo dormant na for a year. Kasi nu’ng nag-resign ako sa show (‘Eat Bulaga’) medyo hindi ko na sila nakakasama at nakakausap. Mas masakit ‘yung kapag meron ka palang mga taong may nakasamaan ng loob… minahal, nararamdaman mo na may galit sila sa’yo, ‘yun ang masakit sa akin hindi naman ‘yung guilty ka o may babayaran ka,” he expressed.
The actor-host also said he hopes to personally apologize to TVJ if given the opportunity but believes time is needed for wounds to heal.
“‘Yung pinaka-reach out ko kasi yung ginawa kong public apology. Hindi naman kasi kami nagkita sa court and I was hoping na may makita ako sa court just to say hello and to say sorry personally,” he said.
“Ang sa akin kasi sugat yan, baka kapag pinilit ko ang sarili ko sa pakikipag-usap sa kanila, hindi pa naghihilom ‘yung sugat, baka lalong magkasugat. Sa akin siguro time na lang,” he concluded.
