Ombudsman: Graft, plunder charges vs Leviste now under investigation

MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Ombudsman is set to file plunder and graft charges for preliminary investigation against Sen. Loren Legarda and her son Rep. Leandro Leviste (Batangas, 1st District).

Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla announced the filing of complaints for preliminary investigation on Friday, July 31, over the solar energy projects tied to Leviste.

The charges for preliminary investigation will also include former Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi.
