Only a few weeks ago, Katy Perry released a new single, “Watch It Burn,” hoping to capitalize on a viral resurgence she enjoyed earlier in 2026. “The One That Got Away,” a decade-plus-old favorite from her hugely successful Teenage Dream era, picked up steam on TikTok and became a surprise chart hit all over again.

“Watch It Burn” has thus far underperformed, as it has only managed to reach one radio ranking in America. While the song has yet to become a strong streamer or bestseller in the nation, Perry does claim three charting hits this week.

Amazingly, each of those tracks rises to a new high on every list where they currently appear. At the same time, Teenage Dream surges on two albums rosters and even brings the Grammy nominee to a new career peak on one tally she only reached for the first time recently.

“The One That Got Away” Reaches New Global Peaks

“The One That Got Away” is Perry’s only song that is currently found on multiple charts. The former single rises on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S., Billboard’s two worldwide rankings.

The Billboard Global 200 measures the most-consumed songs around the planet using sales and streaming activity from territories throughout the world. The Billboard Global Excl. U.S. employs a similar methodology, but American consumption is not included in its methodology.

15 weeks into its run – which began long after it was selected as the sixth Teenage Dream single – “The One That Got Away” pushes from No. 28 to No. 23 on the Billboard Global 200. It simultaneously advances five spaces to No. 17 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S.

Both of those spaces mark new peaks for the track and Perry. “The One That Got Away” became the singer’s highest-charting hit on the two relatively young worldwide tallies this spring, and every time it lifts to a new lofty position, the singer does as well.

“Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” Climbs Again

Another Teenage Dream smash also continues to grow globally. “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” steps up three spaces to No. 184 on the Billboard Global 200, establishing a new high in its third week on the ranking. The song does not appear on Billboard Global Excl. U.S. at the moment. It remains Perry’s lowest-peaking hit on the Billboard Global 200, though it has only just begun its run on the roster.

Teenage Dream Surges to a New Streaming Chart Peak

As a pair of songs featured on its tracklist rise on the worldwide rosters, Teenage Dream surges up the Top Streaming Albums chart. The roster ranks full-lengths and EPs based on total plays on streaming platforms in the U.S. alone.

Perry’s blockbuster improves from No. 33 to No. 28, reaching a new high in its seventeenth week on the streaming-focused tally. Teenage Dream is the only one of the pop singer’s collections to appear on the ranking, so its latest gain also pushes Perry to a new career peak.

The album enjoys an even larger gain on the Billboard 200. Teenage Dream advances 10 spaces to No. 33 on the main albums chart in America. The former No. 1 has now spent 478 weeks on the Billboard 200, and if it can find space on the roster for much of the coming year – which seems likely – Teenage Dream will become Perry’s first release to reach the relatively rare 500-week milestone.

“Watch It Burn” Climbs at Pop Radio

“Watch It Burn” earns its second stay on the Adult Pop Airplay chart this week, the only Billboard ranking it has reached so far. The recently-released single rises seven spaces, leaping from its No. 38 debut to a new peak of No. 31.

“Watch It Burn” Passes Two Katy Perry Singles

When “Watch It Burn” arrived at No. 38 last week, it immediately became Perry’s lowest-peaking hit on the Adult Pop Airplay chart. It grabbed that distinction from “Cozy Little Christmas,” which spent one frame at No. 37 in December 2018. As it ascends, “Watch It Burn” moves past that holiday cut and “Small Talk,” which peaked at No. 36 in September 2019.
