The SBI reported the incident, Ukrinform says.

According to preliminary information, the uncontrolled detonation of ammunition occurred at around 11:55.

Four injured servicemen were hospitalized. The severity of their injuries is currently being determined.

“Due to the ammunition detonation, investigators are currently unable to safely begin inspecting the scene. At the same time, SBI officers are already interviewing the command staff and personnel of the military unit and are carrying out other urgent investigative measures,” the agency said.

The preliminary legal classification is violation of rules for handling weapons, as well as substances and items that pose an increased danger to the surrounding environment, resulting in bodily injuries to several people (Part 2, Article 414 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Khmelnytskyiregion: SOF report emergency

As reported by Ukrinform, several explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi at a time when no air raid alert was active in the city.

Later, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that an emergency had occurred at the training ground of one of the military units in the Khmelnytskyi region, resulting in an explosion followed by secondary detonations.
