Don’t allow this fellow’s somewhat unusual appearance to put you off. This is Shigure and he’s a very special cat.

About 2 years old, Shigure is new to ARK. After the death of his owner, he arrived with two other cats, Kosame and Ajisai, the latter is believed to be his sibling.

All three are visually impaired, but that doesn’t stop any of them from enjoying life.

Shigure is the adventurer. He’s fearless but also extremely funny and friendly. Despite his poor vision, Shigure loves playing with his toys. In fact, anything moving is likely to be treated as a toy and he’ll pounce on it straight away, including food.

His fondness for play has been a large factor in helping him achieve his impressive weight of over 5 kilograms!

We’re hoping he’ll catch the eye of someone who will see past his slightly unusual appearance and want to care for a bold, brave boy brimming with confidence and curiosity.
