As Ukrinform reported, the State Border Guard Service stated this on Facebook.

"To mark Air Force Day — new aerial records," the post said.

The border guards said they are proud to hold the record for the highest confirmed interception of an enemy UAV.

"The enemy deliberately launches ZALA Z-20 reconnaissance drones at high altitudes, hoping they will remain unreachable there. But for the operators of STING from the 105th Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service, that was not an obstacle," the military said.

"Our drone successfully intercepted the target at an altitude of 6,858 meters," the border guards reported.

As of today, this remains the highest confirmed interception mark among all units working in this sector, the State Border Guard Service emphasized.

"And while it is nice to be record holders, it is even better to see Ukrainian technology and the skill of our operators raise that bar even higher every day," the border guards noted.

As Ukrinform reported, operators from the border unit "Phoenix" struck a Russian Buk-M3 air defense system in the Donetsk region with a drone; its estimated value is about $50 million.
