Sony on Monday (August 3, 2026) expanded its flagship Bravia 9II lineup with the unveil of a new 115 inch True RGB model. The new Bravia 9II series runs on Sony’s XR processor with AI capabilities and begins from 75 inches, while the Bravia 7II starts at 55 inches.
Sony said that India’s smart TV market is moving towards larger screen sizes, above 55 inches, and it commands the segments.
Sony Bravia 9II features RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro where each pixel is independently controlled by an IC, delivering a wide colour gamut, better contrast, depth, and smooth gradation.
These smart TVs come with Luminance Booster Pro that claims to boost brightness while maintaining colour accuracy for brighter highlights. Immersive Black Screen Pro (available on Bravia 9II models, excluding the 115 variant), claims glare-free, low-reflective screen that helps enhance black levels in darker scenes.
The 115 inch Bravia 9II gets Acoustic Multi-Audio+ with a 12-speaker system comprising two subwoofers, eight full-range speakers, and two tweeters.
These Google powered TVs will get Gemini through a future over-the-air update (OTA) for AI-powered interactions.
Sony’s True RGB television portfolio comes in 55 to 115 screen sizes. The Bravia 7II TVs are availbale across Sony retail stores and leading electronic outlets and major e-commerce platforms across India, while the Bravia 9II availability will be announced soon.
