Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins goes full Jeb Bush as she asks farmers for applause

Brooke Rollins channelled Jeb Bush as she asked for applause whilst addressing a room of farmers.

On Tuesday (4 August), during an appearance at FarmFest in Minnesota, the Agriculture Secretary heaped praise on Donald Trump.

“I think this may be due for another applause,” she said, before explaining to the quiet crowd that the US president has raised the 2026 and 2027 Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) volume requirements for biomass-based diesel and advanced biofuels to their highest-ever level.

Her request bore similarities to Jeb Bush, who infamously asked the audience during a stop on his 2016 presidential campaign to “please clap” after he finished a speech about national security.
