Curiosity led a Russian traveller into a men's salon in Delhi, where she decided to try a face massage costing just $1 (Rs 96.4). While the experience left her smiling, it also prompted a flood of comments from people urging her to be more careful while travelling alone.

Liubov, who documents her travels on Instagram, shared a video of herself accepting an impromptu invitation to visit a local men's salon in the capital. Curious to experience something different, she decided to walk in and try a traditional face massage instead of passing by.

"Getting face massage in New Delhi, India. What a niche experience," she captioned the post.

The video captures the unusual experience from start to finish. As Liubov settles into the barber's chair, the salon staff prepare for the treatment by clipping back her hair before applying cream to her face.

One of the workers then carefully massages her face using gentle, rhythmic movements while the others look on.

Throughout the session, Liubov smiles, laughs and appears completely at ease, seemingly enjoying every moment of the treatment. Overlaying the clip, she wrote, "POV: $1 face massage in India”.

The video quickly attracted widespread attention, with viewers divided over what they had just watched.

While many praised Liubov for embracing local experiences with an open mind and said her curiosity made for a wholesome travel moment, others were far less comfortable with the situation.

A large number of commenters, including several Indians, urged her to exercise greater caution while travelling alone. They pointed out that entering an unfamiliar men's salon without knowing the area or the people could have been risky, particularly for a solo female traveller.

"As an Indian, I will advise you, stay safe and don't visit deserted areas," one user commented.

Others clarified that their concern was not about men's salons in general but about personal safety while travelling in an unfamiliar city. They advised visitors to choose well-reviewed or busy establishments, especially when exploring alone, and to avoid entering isolated places on impulse.
