Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has spent 39 weeks thus far on the Digital Song Sales chart, which measures the bestselling tracks in the United States through paid downloads from platforms such as iTunes. Digital purchases carry less weight in determining a song’s overall popularity and position on several Billboard-published rosters than they once did, as streaming now dominates music consumption. The company nevertheless continues to track digital sales, and throughout much of 2026, “Choosin’ Texas” has ranked as the country’s top-selling song.
As it earns another stay at the summit, Langley’s breakout smash reaches a lucky figure and ties several of the biggest hits of the past few decades.
Ella Langley’s Smash Reaches 13 Weeks at No. 1
“Choosin’ Texas” collects its thirteenth week at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart this frame. The country-pop blockbuster has now ruled the roost for exactly one-third of its 39 frames on the ranking.
Ella Langley Ties Bruno Mars, Mark Ronson and Halsey
Langley ties three other songs now that it has managed 13 weeks in charge. Flo Rida and T-Pain’s “Low,” Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’s “Uptown Funk” and the Chainsmokers and Halsey’s “Closer” all held court in the penthouse for that long before descending. The four hits are tied as the sixth-longest-running No. 1s in Digital Song Sales chart history.
Ella Langley Easily Outsells Her Competition
According to Luminate, “Choosin’ Texas” sold another 7,300 downloads during the latest tracking period. That total is nearly identical to its performance one week earlier.
Langley easily outpaces every competing cut. Weeks after Bonnie Tyler’s death, “Total Eclipse of the Heart” rises to a new high of No. 2 – which also marks a peak for the late singer – but the classic sells less than half as many copies as “Choosin’ Texas.”
Taylor Swift’s former champion “I Knew It, I Knew You” follows at No. 3. “Choosin’ Texas” sold better than the songs occupying the Nos. 2 and 3 positions combined.
Ella Langley Could Stand Alone with 14 Turns at No. 1
“Choosin’ Texas” will likely control the Digital Song Sales chart again next week. Should the country smash earn a fourteenth frame at No. 1, Langley’s breakout win will become only the sixth release to hold at the summit for at least that long. She may soon break her tie with “Low,” “Uptown Funk” and “Closer.” Those three hits would move into a shared seventh place on the historic ranking, while “Choosin’ Texas” would advance alone.
Ella Langley Is Approaching Several Historic Hits
A few additional weeks at No. 1 would allow “Choosin’ Texas” to match some of the most successful sellers of the digital era. Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” controlled the chart for 15 weeks in 2024. Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’s “Old Town Road” managed 16 frames in 2019, while Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” collected a coincidental 17 turns at the summit in 2017.
BTS owns the all-time record – amazingly, with two different songs. “Dynamite” accumulated 18 weeks at No. 1 between 2020 and 2021, and later in 2021, “Butter” matched that run.
Ella Langley Rules Three of Billboard’s Biggest Charts
“Choosin’ Texas” remains at its all-time high on several of Billboard’s most competitive songs rankings. The single holds at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts this period, and it makes history on all of them thanks to its longevity.
