According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this.
According to SSU cyber experts and investigators, the suspect is a resident recruited by the Russians who, for money, carried out tasks assigned by an officer of the Russian FSB’s military counterintelligence department.
It has been documented that, on the orders of a Russian intelligence officer, the agent tracked down backup command posts and temporary deployment sites of the Defense Forces in the Pavlohrad area.
To gather intelligence, the suspect surveyed the area, secretly photographing and marking on Google Maps locations she believed were being used by Ukrainian defenders.
In addition, the agent tracked the parking locations of Ukrainian soldiers’ vehicles, which would have enabled the enemy to plan terrorist attacks.
The suspect attempted to conceal her work for Russia by using a fictitious nickname.
SSU cyber experts exposed the agent at the outset of her espionage activities, systematically documented her crimes, and detained her at her residence.
The SSU also carried out comprehensive measures to secure the Defense Forces’ bases and movement routes.
As the investigation revealed, the woman came to the Russians’ attention while searching for quick money on Telegram channels.
During a search, her cell phone and tablet were seized, and they contained evidence of her work for the enemy.
SSU investigators informed the detainee that she is suspected of violating Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law).
The suspect is being held in custody without the right to bail. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
