According to Ukrinform, the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, reported the attack on Telegram.

"Sports infrastructure has been damaged. According to preliminary information, there are casualties. We are clarifying the details," the statement said.

In a comment to journalists, the communications department of the Odesa Operational Tactical Group said that the Chornomorets Stadium sustained significant damage.

"The roof, windows, and stadium stands were damaged, and the strike also caused a fire in nearby dry grass," the statement said.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on August 7 Russian forces launched a drone attack on the Odesa district. Further details about the number and condition of those injured are still being established.
