Maharashtra Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal on Tuesday (July 28, 2026) launched a sharp attack on the BJP government, alleging that repeated examination paper leaks — from NEET and TET to the latest alleged MPSC Drug Inspector exam leak have shattered the aspirations of lakhs of students, asking who is protecting the alleged paper leak racket and demanded accountability from the Mahayuti government.

“The paper leaks have become a phenomenon in BJP-led government. After the NEET paper leak, the TET paper leaked in the state and now the question paper of the MPSC Drug Inspector recruitment exam was circulated on WhatsApp before the exam, said Mr. Sapkal warning BJP that they will face repercussions of this.

Hitting out at the BJP government, Mr. Sapkal alleged that the paper leak has ruined the hard work of lakhs of students, yet government machinery is silent. “With the blessings of which minister in the government, these paper leak rackets are running? Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis-led government have to answer this,” he added.

He also pointed out the scams by BJP leaders, saying, “BJP leader Sanjay Garud has been arrested in a 160 crore school grant scam, illegally registering 841 teachers and employees on the basis of fake school grant orders.

Mr. Sapkal also slammed BJP over shutdown of 28764 MSMEs in Maharashtra in the three years from 2023 to 2026.

According to Mr. Sapkal. Maharashtra has the highest number of MSME industries in the country. He pointed out that the reasons for the closure of MSMEs are challenges in the open market, huge increase in production costs, difficulties in financing, and corrupt administration and gangsterism. Following which the crores of jobs and employment have been lost.
