A man took his elderly father on a Vande Bharat ride, remembering how he once walked to work just to save Rs 5 on a rickshaw fare.

The video was shared by the Instagram page Bhukkhad Musafir, run by a couple who regularly document their travels with the man's elderly father.

The clip opened with the father waiting patiently on the railway platform before boarding the Vande Bharat Express. As the journey began, he was seen settling into his seat, quietly taking in the experience.

The video then showed him gazing out of the large train windows, smiling as the countryside rushed past, while enjoying the modern interiors and smooth ride.

Throughout the journey, he appeared visibly content, soaking in every moment of what seemed to be a long-awaited experience.

An emotional overlay on the video read, "To save Rs 5 on a rickshaw, my father would choose to walk to the office instead. Now, whenever I get the opportunity, I decide to spend those five extra to ensure my father lives a comfortable life."

The man simply captioned the post, "Papa experiencing Vande Bharat Ride."

The video received an emotional response from viewers, with many reflecting on how parents often compromise on their own comfort while providing for their children.

Several users reflected that the comforts they enjoy today are built on years of their parents putting their own needs aside.

Others described the clip as a true measure of success, saying that being able to give back to one's parents and let them experience the comforts they once denied themselves was more meaningful than any material achievement.

Many also hoped this would be just the beginning of the father's travels, with some wishing that his next adventure would be on an aeroplane.
