More than 90,000 civilians, including over 5,000 children, remain in the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk urban communities of the Donetsk region.

The figures were announced during an online briefing by Serhii Honcharov, head of a department at the Donetsk Regional Military Administration responsible for civil protection, mobilization, and defense, Ukrinform reports.

"According to the city military administrations, 51,701 people remain in the Kramatorsk territorial community, including 2,354 children. In the Sloviansk territorial community, 38,562 people remain, including 2,781 children," Honcharov said, noting that the figures are current as of July 21.

He added that evacuation efforts are ongoing throughout the region. A total of 12 evacuation teams are operating in Donetsk region, including nine National Police 'White Angels' units and three State Emergency Service 'Phoenix' teams.

As Ukrinform previously reported, approximately 13,000 civilians remain in areas of active combat in the Donetsk region.
