Volga Oil Philippines brought its locally blended and produced motorcycle lubricants from Davao closer to Cebu and the wider Visayan market as it joined the Makina Moto Expo Cebu 2026 from August 14 to 16, 2026 at the IEC Convention Center Cebu, Cebu City, with its Cebu distributor, H&P Commercial Trading, using the three-day event to introduce the brand to more riders and connect with motorcycle parts shops across the region.

The Cebu leg of the expo gave Volga and H&P an opportunity to address a practical concern in the motorcycle community: making quality engine oil accessible while ensuring that riders and local businesses know where to get a steady supply. For H&P, the expo was also a chance to strengthen its role as Volga’s Cebu distributor and build direct relationships with potential dealers in the Visayas.
Volga Oil Corporation manufactures lubricants for automotive and industrial applications at its blending plant in Davao City, Philippines. The facility covers 40,000 square meters, has advanced testing equipment and a designed capacity of 50,000 metric tons of lubricating oil. Its products include gasoline and diesel engine oils, motorcycle engine oils, gear oils, grease and other ancillary products.
Bringing a Davao-made brand closer to Cebu riders
For H&P Commercial Trading Manager Andy Sy and Assistant Manager Jenny Catubay, introducing Volga Oil to Cebu is about allowing riders and businesses to understand what the brand offers and experience its value firsthand.
Catubay said many riders across the Philippines have yet to discover Volga Oil despite Cebu already serving as a primary hub for the business. She described the brand as dependable and affordable without compromising quality, adding that members of their own team use Volga Oil for their personal vehicles.
The company has also built a customer base over H&P Commercial Trading’s eight years in business, with customers continuing to order from the distributor.
Sy said the company lets the products speak for themselves by presenting the lineup directly to customers, allowing them to assess the products and their price points.
That emphasis on value is closely tied to Volga’s local production. Sy explained that having the manufacturing plant in Davao allows the company to reduce overhead and operational expenses, with the savings passed on to customers through lower retail prices while offering what the company considers premium-quality engine oil.
“By keeping production local, we pass those cost savings directly to our customers through lower retail prices,” Sy shared.
This local-production story gives Volga a distinct place in the motorcycle market. Rather than positioning affordability and quality as opposing choices, H&P’s representatives said the brand’s experience with customers shows how the two can work together.
Sy said first-time customers may initially make a small trial purchase, but orders can increase after they experience the product. Catubay echoed this, saying customers who are satisfied with the oil’s performance are more likely to become loyal buyers.
H&P strengthens the supply link in the Visayas
While Volga’s production is based in Davao, H&P Commercial Trading serves an important role in making the brand accessible to Cebu’s motorcycle businesses and riders.
Catubay said H&P serves as the main distributor for Cebu, focusing on maintaining a reliable and continuous supply of engine oils for motorcycle owners and local shops. The distributor replenishes inventory weekly or bi-weekly and carries options ranging from cost-effective products to higher-performance formulations. Its offerings also include specialized products such as fork oils and brake fluids.
The distributor’s approach also seeks to make it easier for smaller motorcycle parts shops to carry the brand. According to Catubay, H&P maintains flexible terms and does not impose strict minimum order quantities, allowing shops to order even a single box.
This distribution network is particularly relevant as Makina Moto Expo makes its Cebu debut. While the motorcycle expo has had a long-running presence in Manila, its arrival in Cebu creates a new meeting point for motorcycle brands, riders and businesses in the Visayas.
Catubay said H&P’s primary goal for the three-day event in Cebu is to increase brand awareness and connect with motorcycle parts shop owners across the Visayas, making sure businesses know who they can approach locally when they want to stock Volga Oil.
That focus makes the expo relevant beyond the motorcycles displayed inside the convention center. For Cebu’s motorcycle-parts businesses, having a local distributor can mean a more direct supply channel and easier access to products. For riders, it strengthens awareness of where they can find Volga products in the local market.
H&P’s relationship-building strategy extends beyond events. Sy said the team personally visits shop owners and maintains regular contact, sometimes for months before a business places its first order.
As Makina Moto Expo Cebu gives Volga Oil and H&P a larger platform to meet the Visayan motorcycle community, the goal is for them to introduce more riders and businesses to a lubricant brand produced in Davao and establish H&P as a direct local connection for those looking to carry or use Volga products.
