CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Authorities evacuated families from a flood-prone community here after Abra de Ilog in Occidental Mindoro overflowed amid continued heavy rains on Tuesday (August 18). The Abra de Ilog Emergency Response Operations (AERO) said the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, assisted by personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, and Philippine Army, conducted the evacuation operation in Sitio Alatin, Barangay Tibag.
