Shania Twain has revealed she skipped Taylor Swift's wedding because she was performing on stage with her ex Harry Styles.

The singer, 60, opened for Harry Styles during his 12-night Together Together tour at Wembley Stadium last month.

Her commitment to the shows meant Shania was unable to accept Taylor and Travis Kelce's wedding invitation at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

'I was very honoured to be invited to Taylor's wedding and next time I see her, I will of course give her a big congratulations,' she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday.

'I admire her musicianship and her commitment to telling her stories, I love her.'

Shania and Taylor, who dated Harry for a year in 2012, have been friends for many years.

The country icon performed with Harry at Coachella in 2022 and the Brit Awards in 2023.

Sharing about how she and Harry met, Shania said: 'I met Harry backstage at a very small show, and we chatted for a little bit.

'He was still just getting going, he wasn't the Harry he is now.

'We exchanged numbers and he called me a little bit later and said, "it's my mum's birthday coming up, would you mind wishing her a happy birthday because she's the person who introduced me to your music?"

Taylor and Travis exchanged 20-minute vows in front of a star-studded guestlist that included almost all of Kelce's Chiefs teammates earlier this month.

Following the blockbuster celebration, the three-time Super Bowl winner and pop sensation jetted off to enjoy 'complete privacy' over the July 4th weekend at the ultra-exclusive Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana.

The Daily Mail footage captured dozens of umbrellas opening to conceal the couple as they disembarked the plane.

The hidden figures then entered a convoy of cars, which appeared to whisk Taylor and her new hubby off to her Beverly Hills mansion, 15 miles away.

Among the more than 1,000 guests packed into MSG were actors Selena Gomez, Bradley Cooper and Dakota Johnson, and singer Ed Sheeran.

Comedian and actor Adam Sandler officiated and Paul McCartney performed at the reception.

Shania recently discussed how she's preparing to celebrate her 61st birthday next month.

She currently lives in Switzerland with her husband Frédéric Thiébaud, whom she married in 2011.

'I started life out a little bit on the tough side,' she said. 'In my 60s now, I feel like I've really gotten it or I'm just now getting all of that right.'

She added: 'You know what it is? It's called time. I'd love to have been able to get it right in my 50s, but I just – that wasn't enough time.'

'I needed to be in my 60s to start getting it right, you know? And that's fine,' Twain continued.

'I plan to live to be 200 anyway! ... I better live to be 200, to get everything in that I want to get in.'
