There's good news for all the web-swingers out there (no, not you lot, keep it down). Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has got a new update today, adding two new spider suits inspired by some big new releases.
As announced by Insomniac Games on social media, players will be able to use the Fresh Start and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls suits starting today. The former being inspired by the upcoming blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day, while the latter a replication of Spider-Man's look from Arc System Work's tag fighter.
In addition, the update brings support for Enhanced PSSR, which improves image upscaling quality and stability. In layperson's terms, it makes the game look better while keeping performance at a high bar. Also, there's power saver support now, which means you can get some hours in with Spider-Man 2 while saving on the electricity bill.
These suits make sense, given Brand New Day's release tomorrow and Marvel Tokon's launch date in early August. We're in the thick of Spider-Man season it seems, which if nothing else is great news for those looking to get Spider-Man 2 another play through.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has proven to be an exceptionally popular release for Insomniac. The game sold 2.5m copies in less than 24 hours back in 2023, and quickly soared past the 5m mark shortly after. While we don't know its current sales figure, that's still a staggering figure.
