According to Ukrinform, this information is contained in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the situation as of 8:00 a.m. on August 2.
The enemy launched two missile strikes, firing 31 missiles, and carried out 91 airstrikes, dropping 298 guided bombs.
In addition, the Russians deployed 11,083 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,343 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.
The enemy carried out an airstrike on the area around the settlement of Zelenyi Hai in Sumy region.
The Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck 15 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, one unmanned aerial vehicle command post, and one command and observation post of the Russian invaders.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian assaults. At the same time, the enemy carried out four airstrikes using 12 guided bombs and fired 61 times at Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including four attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, Ukrainian units repelled 21 Russian attacks. The invaders attempted to advance in the areas of Starytsia, Dihtiarne, Izbytske, and Kozacha Lopana, as well as in the directions of Volokhivka, Radkivka, and Ivashchyne.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian Federation’s army did not conduct any assault operations.
Attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses were repelled in the Lyman sector, where Russian invaders launched 16 attacks in the areas of Lyman, Dibrova, Ozerne, and Novomykhailivka, as well as in the directions of Drobysheve, Novoserhiivka, Andriivka, Shyikivka, and Novoselivka.
In the Sloviansk sector, the Russians carried out 18 assault operations in the areas of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, and Riznykivka, as well as in the direction of Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russians attacked three times in the directions of Pryvilne and Yurkivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, 19 Russian attacks were recorded. The invaders carried out assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Ivanopilia, as well as in the directions of Raiske, Rusyn Yar, and Stepanivka.
The highest number of assaults was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 27 Russian attacks. The enemy was active in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, and Kotlyne, and also carried out assaults in the directions of Sofiivka, Novopavlivka, Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, Nove Shakhove, Shevchenko, Novohrishyne, Hulive, and Udachne.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian invaders carried out four attacks in the directions of Myrne and Rybne.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops launched 14 attacks. The enemy attempted to advance in the areas of Zaliznychne and Hirke, as well as toward Charivne, Vozdvyzhivka, and Tsvitkove.
In the Orikhiv and Dnipro River sectors, the Russian Federation’s army did not conduct any assault operations.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.
As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine—from February 24, 2022, to August 2, 2026—amount to approximately 1,449,120 personnel, including 1,500 over the past 24 hours.
