Did Grammys remove BTS’ performance videos from its website?
Fans of BTS are abuzz after some noticed that the K-pop supergroup’s Grammy performance videos could no longer be accessed on the award-giving body’s official website.
Eagle-eyed ARMYs as well as The Pop Core, a social media page dedicated to global music and pop culture, were among those who pointed this out. They shared screenshots of the inaccessible links to BTS’ Grammy performance of “Dynamite” (2021) and “Butter” (2022) through X.

It was not immediately known whether the videos were actually removed from the website or were just temporarily unavailable at the moment, as the Recording Academy has yet to comment on the matter as of this writing.

This comes after the K-pop powerhouse announced their decision not to submit its music for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, despite the newly introduced Best Asian Pop Music Performance category. The new category, which was announced in June, recognizes outstanding performances across K-pop, J-pop, C-pop and beyond.
Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. admitted being saddened by the South Korean septet’s move but underscored that he respects it. Mason also issued a clarification about the Best Asian Pop Music Performance category, saying it was not added to “divide” artists.
“The Asian Pop category was created to celebrate the depth, diversity and extraordinary growth of pop artistry coming out of Asia. The spirit of this new category is to shine a dedicated spotlight on these important artists. More categories mean more artists’ work is recognized. It’s never to divide, but to expand who is recognized by our 15,000 Grammy voters,” he said.
BTS, the first K-pop act to receive Grammy nominations, has earned five nominations so far but has yet to win from the prestigious awards event. /*edv *
