Dani Barretto hosts Legaspi family gathering sans dad Kier, reflects on healing

Dani Barretto opened her home and organized an intimate gathering for her Legaspi family — sans her father Kier Legaspi.

Dani and her children bonded over a meal with family members including her grandmother Hershey Legaspi, uncles Zoren and Brando Legaspi, aunt Carmina Villarroel, as well as cousins Mavy and Cassy Legaspi.

“Filed under: one of my favorite moments in this house,” Dani said on her Instagram page on Monday, Aug. 3. “If you had told me years ago that one day I’d be welcoming my Legaspi family into my own home, I would’ve never realized just how healing this moment would feel.”

Dani expressed her gratitude as she reflected on how their recent reunion was just a prayer she had in her heart.

“There was a time when this was just a quiet prayer in my heart, to be able to show my gratitude to the people who carried me through one of the hardest times of my life,” she continued.

“Thank you for loving and always being there for Me and Sam through every season of our lives. I love you all so much!” she continued. “Thank you Lord!”

Zoren, in response, praised Dani and expressed his appreciation for her in the comments section.

“There’s so much to be thankful for. I’m just so proud of what you’ve become—a wonderful mother, a successful businesswoman, and an inspiration through your podcast,” he wrote.

Carmina, Mavy and Cassy likewise thanked Dani for welcoming them into her home.

Also among those who celebrated Dani’s reunion with the Legaspis was her mom, Marjorie Barretto.

“This is so nice, Dan. Grateful for all the love they showed you over the years,” Marjorie said.

Noticeably, Kier, the brother of Zoren and Brando, was not present at the get-together. Dani also did not make mention of her estranged father in her post.

In a 2023 interview, Kier admitted that he and Dani have not been in communication for a long time. The actor also said at the time that he was open to reconciling with Dani and that he was just waiting for her to reach out to him. /ra
