Michael Cinco ‘excited, honored’ to be a Reina Filipinas judge
Michael Cinco said that he is delighted to be invited to join the judging panel of the first-ever Reina Filipinas pageant, the new national competition for the Philippines’ Miss Grand International representative.
The Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer, whose creations have appeared on international platforms, has been active in the pageant scene, and has recently been called to sit on the judge’s panel for a national pageant.
“I’m excited and very honored. I’m very honored to be selected as one of the judges,” he told an intimate group from the media at his hotel in Taguig City upon his arrival in the country.

Cinco said it was Reina Filipinas Pres. Jojo Bragais himself who made the call to personally extend the invitation to join the judging panel for the inaugural edition of his national pageant.
“He told me if I want to be one of the judges. So, of course, I was honored. I immediately said ‘yes.’ No one says no to Jojo,” the fashion designer said.
When asked what he expects from Reina Filipinas, Cinco said, “I’m looking forward to the girls to be the feistiest girls ever, and of course the Miss Grand trademark, grand production.”
He will join a bevy of international beauties in the panel — MGI All Stars first edition winner Vanessa Pulgarin of Colombia, her runner-up Nguyen Huong Giang of Vietnam, 2025 Miss Grand International runner-up Gotchabell Sarunrat Puagpipat of Thailand, and Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza, the first Filipino woman to be crowned Miss Grand International.
The Reina Filipinas Grand Coronation Night will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Newport World Resorts in Pasay City on Friday evening, Aug. 7. It will be streamed in real-time on the Bragais TV YouTube channel at 7 P.M.
