Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has shared the biggest shooting update yet on Spirit, revealing that nearly 40 per cent of the Prabhas-starrer has already been completed. The announcement offers fans their first major insight into the film's production progress in several months.

The filmmaker made the revelation during his interaction at the Telangana Talent Association (TTA) convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. The update comes weeks after the makers dismissed speculation about a possible delay and reaffirmed that Spirit is on track for a worldwide theatrical release on March 5, 2027.

Prabhas, who is currently on a vacation in Italy, is expected to resume work on Fauzi after returning before joining the next schedule of Spirit. The film has been shooting across Hyderabad, with major schedules, including prison sequences at Chanchalguda Central Jail and high-octane action blocks in Kukatpally, already completed.

In Spirit, Prabhas plays a fierce police officer in his first collaboration with Vanga. The film also stars Triptii Dimri as the female lead, while Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj play pivotal roles. Backed by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, the action drama is being mounted as a pan-world entertainer in eight languages.

Interestingly, the update came during the same TTA convention where Vanga shared the stage with filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. A video from the event recently went viral, showing Varma dancing to Jamal Kudu while Vanga whistled, clapped and cheered him on, drawing loud applause from the audience.

VIDEOWidely regarded as one of the biggest Indian releases of 2027, Spirit also marks Vanga's reunion with T-Series following the blockbuster success of Animal. With nearly half the film already wrapped, the makers are expected to complete the remaining shoot over the coming months before moving into post-production.
