As of the morning of July 21, Russian attacks have left users without power in five regions of Ukraine; four settlements are without electricity due to severe weather.

According to Ukrinform, the NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.

“The enemy continues to carry out attacks on facilities of the Ukrainian power grid. As a result of Russian drone and artillery strikes, there are new power outages in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions as of this morning. Emergency repair work is already underway wherever safety conditions allow," the statement reads.

In addition, due to adverse weather conditions (thunderstorms, strong winds), four settlements in two regions, Poltava and Mykolaiv, were completely or partially without power as of this morning. Regional power company crews are working to restore damaged power lines.

It is noted that electricity consumption is in line with seasonal trends. Today, July 21, as of 9:30 a.m., it was at the same level as the previous day, Monday.

Yesterday, July 20, the daily peak in consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 4.3% higher than the peak of the previous workday—Friday, July 17. The reason is the traditional increase in energy consumption at the start of the workweek.

Ukrenergo also advised scheduling the use of high-power electrical appliances for the period when industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
