If you're looking for an affordable laptop that offers dedicated graphics and solid all-round performance, I've found a great deal on the HP Victus, one of our favorite budget laptops for content creators.

As part of Best Buy's 'Black Friday in July' sale, the HP Victus 15.6in laptop has dropped to $700 (was $1250), saving you a chunky $550. The Victus is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS processor with six cores and 12 threads, paired with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics featuring 6GB of GDDR6 memory.

As you might expect at the discounted price, there is a bit of a caveat, and that's the laptop only comes with 8GB of DDR5 RAM, which is far from generous in 2026. On the plus side, it is backed with a fast 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, which will be enough for everyday productivity, photo editing, and content creation.

The 15.6-inch IPS display delivers a Full HD resolution with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium support, helping reduce screen tearing while making everything feel more responsive.

Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1, USB-C, two USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, a headphone jack, and a backlit keyboard with a numeric keypad.

Although 8GB of memory is only just enough to get started, the combination of a Ryzen 5 processor, dedicated RTX graphics, and a high refresh rate display makes this a capable laptop for work, study, creative projects, and entertainment.
