Last night, the Russians launched a rocket-powered drone strike on a residential area in Sumy—a high-rise building was damaged, and there are casualties.

Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Preliminary reports indicate that the enemy used a jet-powered UAV. A high-rise residential building was damaged as a result of the strike,” the statement reads.

All relevant emergency services are on the scene. Cleanup efforts following the attack are underway.

Hryhorov noted that the threat of repeat strikes remains and urged people to stay in safe places and not to approach the site of the strike.

In addition, Hryhorov reported three casualties.

“The number of casualties resulting from the Russian UAV strike on Sumy has risen to three. A woman and two children were injured,” the statement said.

One child was taken to the hospital. Information regarding the child’s condition is being verified.

The other child and the woman received medical assistance without being hospitalized.

As reported by Ukrinform, the body of a man who died as a result of the guided bomb attack was recovered from the rubble in Sumy.
