Director Christopher Nolan's epic adventure The Odyssey continued its run at the global box office on Day 4, taking its worldwide gross to Rs 2,700 crore. The film grossed Rs 80 crore-mark in India despite a routine dip on Monday.

The global collection of The Odyssey includes Rs 83.14 crore in India gross and Rs 1400 crore in overseas markets, with an India nett collection of Rs 69.65 crore, as reported by Sacnilk.

On Monday, Day 4, The Odyssey's earnings were estimated at Rs 8.35 crore nett across 9,102 shows, the report mentioned. The film registered a 61.9 per cent decline in collections on Monday despite earning Rs 21.90 crore nett on Monday.

After opening at Rs 17.40 crore net on Friday, The Odyssey maintained strong momentum over the weekend—collecting Rs 22 crore on Saturday and Rs 21.90 crore on Sunday—to deliver a massive opening weekend total.

The film set a new record on Day 1, becoming the director's biggest opener in India. Its opening-day gross of Rs 20.75 crore across languages comfortably surpassed the previous record set by their previous release at Rs 17.50 crore.

India Today, in its review of The Odyssey, wrote, "Nolan and his team create images that feel monumental without ever losing sight of the characters at their centre. Equally brilliant is the score, which doesn't merely accompany the visuals but breathes life into them, amplifying heartbreak, triumph and suspense with every note."

The film also features actors Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron and Mia Goth in key roles.

The Odyssey is co-produced by Nolan and Emma Thomas. The film theatrically released on July 17.
