MANILA, Philippines – Vice President Sara Duterte trial resumes Tuesday, with all eyes on National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag as he takes the witness stand and testify under Article IV of the Articles of Impeachment, which centers on Duterte’s alleged grave threats against President Ferdinand Marco Jr., his wife Liza Marcos-Araneta and former Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Matibag’s testimony comes amid heightened tensions stemming from his previous public disputes with some senator-judges. /dp
